UPDATE: This Is Bullshit - Was Roquan Smith Inactive Because He Was In A Car Accident?

This is only a rumor/hearsay at this point, but it’s picking up steam so we needed to toss it on the blog.

Roquan Smith was a surprise inactive today for “personal reasons”. It was dropped on us about an hour and a half before kickoff and caught everybody off guard. Usually a phantom inactive for personal reasons is due to a child birth or a death in the family, but Roquan was on the sidelines for the game so it made everything even more puzzling.

Like I said though I have absolutely no idea if this is true or not. It’s starting to garner some attention online though so we’d be remiss not to at least even mention it.

I’m sure we’ll find out what happened soon and if this proves to be wrong I will be sure to update the blog.

If it is true though I expect him to have a nice phone call with another one of our former linebackers who has been in a similar situation…

It turns out that this is horse shit.

Just heard it from a good source that none if it is true so that’s great news.

Enough speculation. We’ll wait to hear about whatever it is this week.
